Extending the Kingdom

The Kingdom Has Come Near You

Recently there was a Testimony shared about 'Taking Risk'. A few days later this happened...

"I was at work, just doing my job, when a lady started speaking to me. I turned to see who it was as she called me by name. It was the lady i prayed for several days before-hand. She went on to tell me that ever since I had prayed for her, her problem ceased! It's not necessary to share exactly what was going on, but she said the prayer had been answered and all pain had substantially disappeared."

Nothing happens in the Kingdom except for when there's a declaration. God is waiting for people to mirror His ways here on Earth. This is such good news!! We often separate our lives into two areas, sacred and secular, but to God there is only One! He is looking for people who will partner with Him in removing the walls of separation. It's all His!

Thanks for daring and thanks for sharing!

Taking a Risk

"Recently at work, I was helping a customer with some items to their vehicle. We were waiting patiently for the Car to arrive. I took those couple of moments to inquire about their life a little, just small talk!

During that time, I felt in my heart that i was hearing a word of knowledge. Taking a risk I asked 'Do you want to try something fun?' The response was 'Yes, what do you mean?' So I went for it and asked whether what i was hearing was correct!? It's not often someone immediately responds YES to that kind of question from a complete stranger...

Their immediate response was 'No that doesn't mean anything to me'. They then asked why, and I explained that I was practicing hearing from God and thought I would give it a go! They were very kind and continued to dialogue with me as though I was not crazy. During the time we were loading items into their vehicle, the person interjected and explained that 'Part of it was right but not completely', then they told me why. My response was 'Okay let's talk after we are done'.

After we had finished loading everything into the car, I asked if they would be interested in a quick prayer, which they were. After praying, my new friends were interested in what Church I was involved with; one of them had recently been thinking it would be nice to try one out. Regardless of whether they come or not, because I chose to partner with God in that moment they both had an opportunity to experience His nature.

Creating a heart to heart connection will make stepping out in faith a lot easier! You can be anywhere on the scale, from completely wrong about what your feeling (word of knowledge), to 100% accurate. Love is the most important thing you have to display. You can also course correct should it get uncomfortable...."

Thanks for sharing your Testimony with us! Keep taking risks :-)

Paying Attention

"I am in a season at the moment where my life seems a bit small. After being ill and off work for 5 months, I've been working part time, coming home and going to bed quite early. I feel fine but residual effects of the illness plus still being prone to infection, and taking anti-biotics has my energy level not back to where it should be. I prayed a few weeks back for opportunities to be useful, to be active in the Kingdom in spite of where I'm at.

A couple of days later, standing in line at a drug store I was behind a very elderly woman who had a few things that came to under $11.00. Her card was declined a few times. She rummaged in her purse and found $6.00 in change. She was becoming obviously upset and embarrassed so I offered to help. She was saying no but I asked the cashier what she needed. I paid, reassuring this lady that I had had times when I needed help. She burst into tears and hugged me. I told her I believed in a kind God and if we were all just a little bit kinder to one another the world would be a much better place.

Since then I have had this opportunity 3 more times. I've also started not retrieving my quarter or loonies when I get a shopping cart. Not about the money but I started doing this when I saw a woman with 2 toddlers trying to find a quarter. I've been in that place; Fractious kids, pouring rain and no flipping coin! So now I just leave a cart for someone else to use.

I also had the experience of being able to help a woman whose ADD son was having a meltdown in the mall. My grandson has this and when these kids get angry or frustrated and lose control it's very difficult. I felt so bad as people were making rude comments about her parenting and calling the child some ugly names. I prayed 'Lord what do I do?' 'Help her', was the answer. So I helped her stop him from pulling her hair. The presence of a stranger intervening calmed him a bit and we moved to a bench. She was upset and shaken. I bought some water and we sat for a bit and she told me some of her story and I shared some of mine. Everyone was smiling when we said goodbye.

So I write this to say that no matter how little or large your life is. If you're looking, listening and paying attention there is always something to do that matters in the Kingdom."

Today's Testimony comes from Karen:

"Back in the spring, I was at my doctor's office. It was just the receptionist and myself in the office. We were talking, and she let me know that she was pregnant. I congratulated her, but she said that she was having problem with spotting and bleeding, so wasn't sure if she would lose the baby or not. I asked her if I could pray for her. She said, "Yes, but what do I need to do?" I said you don't need to do anything, but sit there. So I prayed. I thanked Jesus that he loved her and her baby. I prayed health over her and her baby. I prophesied what this baby was going to do in her and her husband's lives. She started crying and gave me a hug. I am happy to report that mom went on maternity leave last week, and she's due to have the baby at the beginning of November. I stopped by the office to give her a gift for her baby a couple of weeks ago, and she told me that she knows that something happened that day when I prayed for her. She said that she knows that her baby is a miracle baby!!! Yes, Jesus!!"
