Miracles in Palm Springs

Tell us what happened:

"Myself and a group of Ministry friends from Light in Film, were in Palm Springs at the Joshua Mills conference last month. We were walking out of our session and we see a man walking in front of us with 'Chaplaincy' written on his jacket. One of us walked over to him and started talking about Light in Film and how we started; Chaplains in the entertainment industry. They talked for about 30 minutes while I was just listening. At the end of the conversation I asked him if I could pray with him for any pain he may have in his body. He said yes and I prayed for his knees, and they were completely healed. He asked us to join his chaplaincy meeting the next day. When we did, we got to share God’s heart for them, telling stories about words of knowledge we have had, both successes and failures, he graciously let us prophesy and pray over everyone. We were able to inject God’s life into the Chaplaincy. Following the meeting, I also got to pray for a man who was scared of walking. After praying for him, he managed to walk for about 5 minutes, albeit, slowly, but he walked and was encouraged to face his fear."

We love that good news always goes with us EVERYWHERE, and we love that God's heart always comes through.  Thanks so much JD for sending in this awesome testimony of God's healing, heart, and His faithfulness!

Treasure Hunts

Tell us what happened:

Recently a group of us went out on a Treasure Hunt. Whilst pulling into a parking lot to start, we noticed a group of young people sitting outside of a School, listening to loud music. My friend and I noticed them and talked about maybe going to visit first, after parking. As we were gathering together as a group, they began playing my friends favourite song on their loud speakers (the person I drove with and was just talking about). It seemed like a Holy Spirit moment, as if He was getting our attention and drawing us in that direction.

While another group was on their way back from speaking to another Treasure, we decided we would go over to the group by the school. When we got there, we began a conversation about their Halloween costumes and the amount of good candy they had picked up. After building some rapport, we asked for their help, as we were on a 'Halloween treasure hunt'. After exhausting our maps with the clues, only one stood out, "sports injury". We asked her if it was in pain right then, and apparently it didn't give her problems until she played sports.

We asked if they wanted to try something out really fast, and they were intrigued enough to say yes. We prompted one of them to put her hand on her friend's injured knee and to repeat after me, "knee i command you to behave in the name of Jesus Christ". She did, and we asked her to tell us what was happening, whether she felt, or sensed anything happening. She said that her knee got really hot. I explained to her that God's healing presence often feels as heat or tingling, He was dropping in to say hello, because of how much He loved her and wanted to heal her knee. After explaining what was happening, we asked her to speak it over her again. As soon as she did, her knee began to get hot again! Afterwards, she began to really open up, enough to let us pray for her future calling (she wants to be a Doctor). We declared that God would provide all that she needed including the finances to make it happen. This future doctor, just met the great physician!

Praise God!

My Eyes Are Healed

Tell us what happened:

In November 2016, The stirring invited T.J. Green from Voice of Revival to come for a two day Conference. He had a word of knowledge about glaucoma, a condition that involves high pressure in the eyes that can lead to blindness if not monitored closely. Because I have this condition, some of the Stirring ministry team, prayed for me. Fast forward to last Friday, I had my semi-annual visual field test and in which they take a reading of the pressure in my eyes... "WOW!"... The technician exclaimed to herself... "Have you been taking drops for the pressure?" I replied "No"... My eyes usually register a 24 or 25 on the reading scale, but now the pressure had dropped to the 'safe zone', which was number 17. My eyes are healed!!! Thank you Jesus.

Finding Treasure

Tell us what happened:

"During the Treasure Hunts last week, my team saw a group of teens sitting in Leigh Square and one of them was wearing 'blue shorts' which was on my list, so some of us approached them. We told them we were on a treasure hunt and asked if they could help us, to which they said yes. We told them we were looking for people with items on our treasure map. We mentioned the girl in the blue shorts, and asked whether or not either her or anyone else's names were on our list also. No one had any of the names on any list, but we got to celebrate taking the risk. Then we asked them about some of the other things that we had, such as back pain, sore feet etc and one guy had all of them, so we got to pray for healing, and then he let us prophesy over him. Turning the attention back to the girl with the blue shorts, we asked if there was anything way we could pray for her, and she agreed to let us bless her, also allowing us to prophesy over her about God giving her a creative gift in the arts.

After that a person on our team spotted a man in a 'cowboy hat', another clue on our list, so two people went over to talk to him. While we were waiting, I said hello to an older man at the bus stop. He asked me what we were doing and I told him that we were on a treasure hunt looking for people that God wanted to bless and maybe needed prayer for something, and he said "you can pray for me". He needed prayer for his leg, so we prayed for him. Afterwards, we asked him to test it out, he told me that his leg felt immediately better! Praise God. Then the man began to tell us about his Church background and why he doesn't go to Church anymore. I told him that God loves him and it doesn't matter what Church he goes to or doesn't go to, He is passionate about you regardless.

A little later we spotted a young woman with 'red hair' walking down the street with her boyfriend, I stopped them and told her we were on a treasure hunt and I believed she was my treasure, and then asked if I could bless her in any way? She said yes, we asked if she needed prayer for anything and she just shrugged her shoulders, as if to say not really. So I prophesied over her, I felt God wanted her to know that some negative things in her life were about to change for the good. She started to get teary eyed as her boyfriend nodded "yes that's so true". Afterward she didn't know what to say and could only smile with the encouragement."

The Kingdom Has Come Near You

Recently there was a Testimony shared about 'Taking Risk'. A few days later this happened...

"I was at work, just doing my job, when a lady started speaking to me. I turned to see who it was as she called me by name. It was the lady i prayed for several days before-hand. She went on to tell me that ever since I had prayed for her, her problem ceased! It's not necessary to share exactly what was going on, but she said the prayer had been answered and all pain had substantially disappeared."

Nothing happens in the Kingdom except for when there's a declaration. God is waiting for people to mirror His ways here on Earth. This is such good news!! We often separate our lives into two areas, sacred and secular, but to God there is only One! He is looking for people who will partner with Him in removing the walls of separation. It's all His!

Thanks for daring and thanks for sharing!

Five Years Later

"Today I am so thankful to God for my life! It was 5 years ago today I found out there was masses on my lungs, these masses would turn out to be a rare form of cancer called Leiomyosarcoma. At that time the doctors told me to get my affairs in order as I only had a few month left.

When you are told you don't have long to live every moment becomes precious. Although things have not always been easy over the last 5 years God has been so good to me. I have never had any pain from my cancer and times I have been really ill has been from side effects of chemo. Yes I had days when I been down but they have been far and between and even the doctors comment on my positive attitude. But for me in is more than positive attitude it is my hope, trust and belief that my God is going to healing me.

Although I am not completely healed yet and the cancer has spread to my scalp, I am believing for total healing. Over all I am doing better than I have in a long time. I can walk farther without getting short of breath, I have more energy. Last year at this time I was on a liquid diet due to damage to my esophagus from radiation now I can eat almost anything.

Please stand and believe with me that God will finish the healing he has started in me, that my cancer will be completely gone. Thanks for all your friendship, prayers and support over the last 5 years."

A recent testimony from Judy.

Please continue to partner with Judy for full healing!

Knowing His Goodness

As I have been out living my life and interacting with others, I have run across a lot of doom and gloom right now.  With everything going on in the world around us, from recession talk, judgment of God threats to America, the current economic state of the world especially Greece, social justice issues, and the list can go on and on.  There has been so much negativity and hopelessness.  After walking away from various conversations, I realized that I have become so grounded in my theology of "God being good all the time."  It is important to know what you believe and the posture you are to take when you hear this talk around you.

In Ephesians 2: 20, Jesus is referred to as the chief cornerstone.  A cornerstone was an unusual stone,  as the chief cornerstone would hold the building in place but it would also set the parameters for the building.  Instead of the cornerstone of a building, think of the cornerstone of our theology or our thoughts.  There are certain things that need to be well established in our heart and mind.  They become the lenses through which we see reality, the way we approach life.  When something happens, we always react out of a default that we have built within us-good or bad.  I believe that the goodness of God is to be the cornerstone of our theology.  As situations occur in our lives, how we are able to handle and process them comes from how we view God.  If the cornerstone of our belief is that God is good, and His intentions toward us are good, then how we walk through life will change.  Everything in our relationship with God flows from knowing and trusting in His goodness.

"God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all," 1 John 1:5.  When you think on this statement, it is a crazy thought.  No darkness at all!!  Just light!!  God does not have a mean streak.  He does not wake up on the wrong side of the bed and go after us.  He does not have a bad day.  He does not have a hidden nasty side.  His character is good.  Everything about God is good.  Psalm 119:68 says,  “You are good, and what you do is good.”  It does not say once in awhile He is good.  It does not say God is good, when we are good.  It says God is good and everything He does is good.  Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”  His personality, character, and nature never changes.   God does not change in His character, His name, and His will.  We can always count on Him.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  We can always count on Him to be good.

Everything God does is good.  Genesis 1:31, “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.”  Everything He made was good-the animals, man, the world He created.  God is good, and He sees us as good.  Everything He makes is good.  You are good because you are God’s creation.  Think of the huge implications to actually understanding this.  "You are good,"-you do not have to hate yourself, have self loathing, feel like you are unworthy, a terrible sinful person , etc.  Instead, you are deeply loved, you are a saint, you are chosen and adopted by Him, you are a son and a daughter, and you were created in His image.  He made you and said "it is good."  Everything He does is good.

I know that the big question has already crossed your mind as you have been reading this.  So if God is good and what He does is good, then why are people sick and dying?  Why is there suffering?  I was recently at the hospital visiting a very sick friend.  It was very touch and go whether she would make it or not.  Her grown children, point blank asked me, "why did God make her sick?"  The question really threw me for a moment, as I do not live in the belief system that God gives us sickness, diseases, and suffering.  My response was "Do you make your children sick?  Do you give them diseases?"  God is a loving and good Father.  He does not cause sickness and disease. God in His sovereign will determined at the beginning of creation, that man would make decisions at the beginning of creation that there would be consequences as a result of those decisions.  So when Adam and Eve chose to sin, sin entered into the world, therefore, death entered into the world.  The enemy was given authority because man gave up their authority.  People get sick and have diseases because of the enemy.  Jesus said” the thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy.”  Bad things happen because of the devil.  God is good and does not cause sickness, disease, and bad things.  It is the enemy coming "to kill, steal, and destroy."  So as we encounter sickness, suffering, disease, we need to recognize that God did not give this to us.  He is good, and He will walk through this with us.

At the end of the day, we need to experience God and His goodness.  We need to move from having a truth in our head, to it being a truth in our heart and spirit.  Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” This is an invitation by David to continually “taste and see” that God is good.  When you start tasting and seeing that God is good, it creates a hunger in you.  The rest of the verse says “happy are those who take refuge in Him.”  They encounter His goodness, and want more and more.  So how do you experience His goodness?  For me personally, I have taken the time everyday to look for His hand or to see His kiss.  I go over my day and ask Him, "where was your kiss for me today?"  Sometimes, I can see it and know it as it is happening, and sometimes it is just a simple thing that could have easily been missed.  But it is taking the time in every day to see and know His goodness.  I have a jar that sits on my desk.  It says on the front of it, "Kisses from God."  Once or twice a week, I write down on paper what the kiss from God was for the week.  On New Year's Eve, I plan to read through my jar and see His kisses from this past year.  Sometimes, when I am going through a rough time, I put my hand in that jar and start reading those kisses to remind myself of His goodness.  So I bless you to know and trust in His goodness.  May you see the kisses of God in every day of your life.  I bless you "to taste and see that He is good.
