Jesus

My Valentine <3

Tell us what happened:

"It is a Happy Valentine story! I was going on my morning walk today (February 14), when I came across a sweet lady. We exchanged some Valentine words. I could tell she was from the Middle East by her look and accent. Because of snowy patches on the sidewalk, I told her to be extra careful. We talked a little more and I learnt that she was a Muslim. I noticed that she was limping and I asked her, politely, if she was injured; she had a sore knee. I offered to pray for her, but she was not comfortable with that. I did not force anything! Instead, as we were talkig I felt lead to ask for her forgiveness for the terrible massacre perpetrated by a Quebequer to her people in Quebec two weeks ago. I encouraged her that her people brought richness and zest to our culture and that we love them dearly. She was very moved and grateful.

The previous night, I was journaling a Song of Songs to my beloved Jesus, concluding with the drawing of two hearts His and mine united by an arrow. Jesus continued the conversation we were having the next day... After my walk, I noticed a little tree decorated with hearts, Cupids and teddy bears each of them holding a little red heart. There was an anonymous message "please take one". I brought home a little bear knowing that Jesus had sent me a special Valentine gift."

The Miracle Baby

All you lovers of God who want to please Him, Come & listen, and I'll tell you what He did for me! Psalms 66:16 (The Passion Translation)

Today's Testimony comes from Karen:

"Back in the spring, I was at my doctor's office. It was just the receptionist and myself in the office. We were talking, and she let me know that she was pregnant. I congratulated her, but she said that she was having problem with spotting and bleeding, so wasn't sure if she would lose the baby or not. I asked her if I could pray for her. She said, "Yes, but what do I need to do?" I said you don't need to do anything, but sit there. So I prayed. I thanked Jesus that he loved her and her baby. I prayed health over her and her baby. I prophesied what this baby was going to do in her and her husband's lives. She started crying and gave me a hug. I am happy to report that mom went on maternity leave last week, and she's due to have the baby at the beginning of November. I stopped by the office to give her a gift for her baby a couple of weeks ago, and she told me that she knows that something happened that day when I prayed for her. She said that she knows that her baby is a miracle baby!!! Yes, Jesus!!"

We LOVE good news!  Share the good news of what God is up to.  Let's build faith, extend the kingdom, and change culture with the Love of Jesus.

Salt & Light | Part 1

In Jesus’s day, salt was used to keep food from going bad, it’s purpose was preservation. The test was in the taste, if it tasted like salt, it was still useful. As soon as it began to taste like fish (or whatever it was preserving) it was no longer good for use, and would be be thrown away.
Jesus said we that we are the salt and light of the Earth. Salt for preservation and light for revelation.

Your mission should you choose to accept it, can be found in 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

We are to continue the ministry of Jesus, who came to reconcile the world to the Father.

How did He do this?

By judging what He was called to preserve....  No that doesn't sound right?!

There it is... "By not counting their trespasses against them!"

… the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son ...

(John 5:22)

… I did not come to judge the world, but to save it ...

(John 12:47)
